Holistic vet Dr. Randy Kidd, veterinary adviser of Rainbow Light Nutritional Systems, recently offered advice to the Obamas on the care of their dog Bo, according to a Rainbow Light press release.
Kidd believes home-prepared foods are the best, but says pets should at least receive a high-quality food, and for most commercial foods, a little added meat will be beneficial. He added that serving from many different food sources is the best way to provide most or all of the essential nutrients.
